Expecting a new baby is one of the most precious times in your life and we want to lavish you and/or your child from head to toe with exquisite accessories and carefully chosen props.

This program is designed to meet your photographic needs for that time before the baby gets here… Maternity~ session to emphasize that beautiful glow from your blossoming “baby bump”.  Newborn ~Capturing those tiny toes, little lashes, sweet newborn lips and precious little tushies within the first few days of birth. Preserving every milestone in that first year for those alert eyes and sweet tummy time poses at 3 months- Sitting up or close to it and getting those fun poses with cute props, funky hats and beautiful smiles at their 6 month session. Pulling up and standing with fun props & accessories for their 9 month session. What better way to ring in that 1st Birthday than with a Cake Smash???

We, at TwoPeazStudio, understand how chaotic and overwhelmed a family can be at this time… BUT we will take care of you and your baby. All you have to do is show up and the rest is on us. We will provide snacks and drinks for you to enjoy….. use this time to take a load off in our dim & quiet sitting area….take a nap if you want to. We have a closed private “cozy” room just for you! Feel free and comfortable to breastfeed your baby in a private, quiet room. Your baby will be in good hands

Maternity Session

Celebrate your pregnancy with wonderful artistic photographs in the comfort of a private studio session.  Maternity Sessions are usually scheduled at month 7 or 8.  Up to one-hour session.  Come dressed in your Casual attire, change into Nightgown/Romantic, and then into Special Cloths/Drapes provided by Photographer.  Include Father and/or Big Brothers & Sisters too! This is a very special time and can be flattering.

BONUS- newborn session scheduled within the first two weeks of birth is FREE!! ($175.00 Value)

Glamorous Photography Session
ONLY dates available to ensure plenty of time for session, editing & ordering books will be Saturday January 21st, Saturday January 28th and Sunday January 29th-
30 minute session with up to 3 outfit changes. This is a snapshot session, so only a few poses and shots will be taken with each outfit. Make sure each outfit is easily changed. Bring a flash drive with you to the session to get all of your edited images w/copyright release. Also your images will be displayed in a password protected album so that you can choose the 12 images printed in your “little black book”

We have the experience to highlight all your best features, with post-production using photo-retouching techniques. (Trust us when we say that many of the world’s most famous models do not look anything like their photographs. Thank you, Photoshop!) In addition to what you bring to the session, we will have on hand a variety of sensuous accessories available for you to select from.

This is not about how you look posing half naked..It’s not about how you need to lose that extra 20 pounds or even about getting some color on that skin of yours. Who says you even have to take your clothes off? Someone just mentions “boudoir” and you immediately think nude!! Come on, personally I think a woman looks sexier covered up…its all about how you feel about yourself. It’s about confidence, your smile, a silhouette, your hair falling on your shoulder…the back of your neck…heck, even your FEET! Get yourself a pedicure some really fabulous shoes and let your hair down….
Sags, wrinkles, bags, cellulite- they can’t compete with lingerie, soft lighting, the right angle and perfect position with a come hither look. It’s a nice fantasy that I can assure you will be pleased with… (so will he!)

All images are kept in strict confidence and no images will be shown without written permission. now it can be you looking back from a sexy picture. Boudoir photography will help you discover that secret seductress in you.

Do I have to undress and/or wear revealing clothes?
Absolutely NOT…Being sexy does not mean you have to be nude and/or dressed slutty. Being sexy means you being you in whatever makes you FEEL sexy. Or whatever you think he would love to see you in…for example: that cute little tank top & pj bottoms that you think is really cute..or his business shirt & tie w/some really cute jeans…maybe its your wedding dress & veil that has been boxed up for a few years.. And it doesnt even have to be full body shots… waist and/or neck up can be really glamorous to!

My Policy:
My Policy on Boudoir Images is implied nudity only which means you are covered w/either your clothing, your hands, or an object. I will never ask you to pose nude, unless YOU ask specifically.  I view any nudes as extremely private in nature & will be between you and whomever you wish to share them with.

But I don’t know how to pose!
Don’t worry, we will guide you through the poses & make sure you look fabulous in them all. But be sure you come in knowing what you want & have some ideas!
What if I’m not happy with my weight or shape? Should I wait?
No, you don’t need to wait at all. I’m able to ensure gorgeous images at ANY size using clever lighting & various photographic techniques that will flatter your shape. Everyone has their own unique beauty, and that’s what I will bring out in these shoots. I also retouch w/softening tools & enhancements. However, I will NOT alter your photos- They will be “enhanced” in a glamorous style.
Can I bring someone with me?
Bring a friend w/you to the photo session. If a romantic photographer refuses this request, check a little closer before using her. This is a safety precaution that every woman should follow.
We have no problem w/a friend or family member coming with you. All we ask is that they can sit in with you ONLY if you want them to.  Boudoir photography is not a spectator sport. OK, so pretty much any woman is a great candidate for boudoir photography session. The only quality you need to have is well, to actually be a woman.
How To Prepare
We want you to feel and look your best on the day of the photo shoot. So here are a few helpful hints.
*Make sure your clothes are ironed & packed, or at least ready to go, the night before your session. If your outfits are not ironed, it takes time away from the shoot. Note, too, that we do NOT iron.
*Take care of any waxing/shaving in the sensitive areas (such as bikini line, lip & face)
* Check your mani & pedi, they do show up in close ups! Come on girls.. get those feet pampered! Nothing uglier then nasty looking feet and toes.
*Practice, practice, practice….yes, in front of the mirror
*Research- That’s right.. go online & check out some ideas for what you are looking for. Print some off & bring them with you. Bring some magazines, books, ads.. anything to give us an idea of what you want. You can also flip through a Victoria Secret catalogs to study poses. Bring your favorite pages w/you to show us what you like the most. PLEASE bring in some ideas of your own. You want to do this.. surely you have something in mind. We do help guide you thru poses appropriate for you, but give us something to work with.
*Nails: French manicured to natural. Something neutral to match w/anything!
*Skin: Groom eyebrows, & clean any dead skin off your face. Please remove any unwanted hair off the face. Brush & floss your teeth, too.
*Wear makeup! We do not offer make-up application, although we may offer suggestions and/or help w/touch ups. PLEASE, keep in mind that make-up for this session needs to be a little more dramatic than usual. Maybe a little darker, some bold lip stick, false eyelashes, glam it up! While you want this session to reflect YOU, keep in mind that you shouldn’t be made to look like something that you are not, so don’t go overboard & don’t be afraid to try something different! BRING makeup for touch ups!
*Hair- wear a button up shirt so that you won’t disturb the makeup & hair when you begin to change for your boudoir session. We do NOT do hair. Although we may offer suggestions and/or help with touch ups…please come w/your hair done. Go treat yourself to a style with your beautician. Be flexible w/wearing it up and/or down… both ways can be really sexy & give some variety to your photos.
* Wear a clear deodorant instead of the white, powdery kind so that your clothes will stay the color they should be.
What To Bring
High boots, negligee, your wedding veil, garter, animal prints, satin, lace, furs & any other props that are fun…..your imagination is the limit! Bring lots of options & we will help you choose the best. (we have lots of boas, pearls, gloves, hats, accessories already, but don’t rely on just what we have)1. Boy Shorts/Bra & Panties Set

6. Makeup (for touch ups!)

8. Thigh highs (fish nets & pantyhose for a smoother look- keep in mind that the control top may show)

12. Lingerie: Buy lingerie to turn him on! Don’t use old stuff—you are trying to entice your partner! Be sexy!
13. Jewelry: Bring a selection from which to choose. Above all, if your significant other has given you any pieces, bring them.
14. Shoes: High heels, strappy shoes, boots bring them all!
15. Look for something cute and cheap at Ross’s, Cato’s or Burkes Outlet!
Bring anything that you can think of.. we may use it, we may not.. but at least you will have choices! Pack a suitcase, buy some new stuff, pull out your stuff you have never worn, borrow something from a friend.
A glamour photographer can do ALOT to help you look GLAMOROUS but these are must-dos in order for you to help the photographer.

~All Day Classes~

I am super excited that this has grown to the point of having to schedule out an all day class event! I have Basic Photography Class, 2nd Round Photog Class, On Location Shoot Session & Paintshop/Photoshop Classes available for anyone that want to participate. Next class for all is Sunday June 19th. I understand this is Father’s Day, but I will not be able to schedule another class for at least 3 weeks, so I can only plan them when I can. As long as I have enough interest, I will continue… otherwise, I can’t.

Photography Class- These are pretty basic and geared toward showing you how to use your camera. I will teach you the basics of ISO, Aperture & Shutter speed. Manual settings are very important when it comes to making your “snapshots” even better! Some point and shoot cameras- (the ones that have a stable lens that does not come off) have automatic settings that you can manually change and some even have more manual settings that can be confusing. Learning how to use your camera and the important process of how lighting & shutter speed can determine how clear, crisp and awesome your photos can be! Blurry pictures? Not real vivid and crisp? Too dark? Too bright??? , Lets learn how to fix it!

Corel Paintshop Pro/Adobe Photoshop- Do you have these programs and have no clue how to use them or where to even start?? Reading books and trying to watch a tutorial can be confusing and sometimes they do not explain very clear what to do and how to do it. Tools, tubes, brushes, transparent, actions WHAT??? I will introduce you to the basics, show you the tools for simple basic use, where they are and what they do. Hands on, watch me on the flat screen for easy visual, ask questions, take notes, try each step/tool out along with me! Need an intermediate class that goes a little bit further beyond the basics? I will have 2nd classes for Intermediate users for more in depth editing, creating, making collages, greeting cards etc.

~PaintShop/PhotoShop~

There are times that even the most professional photographers have to rely on editing software to “fix” issues that will never come SOOC perfect. (straight out of camera). Sometimes the lighting is just not right or maybe something ended up in the shot that we could not have prevented or just maybe there are natural flaws that just look better touched up. Either way, we have wonderful tools to help make the most memorable photo even better!

There are tons of different things out there online, free, downloadable, costly and everything in between. Some of these are just for fun, lots for enhancements, quick edits such as crop, red eye removal etc. More professional software can only be purchased and can be quite costly. There are many that are easily mastered but lots that take much time and practice to learn. Just like any other product out there, upgrades are constant…so the software you buy today will be new and improved 6 months down the road. I have found that the newer versions can be the greatest thing since sliced bread, but having to constantly upgrade and stay on top of it can be very expensive.

For me, the newer upgrades most of the time are not completely new, just quicker and easier ways of doing things via the older version. For example: it may take 4 steps to do something in Adobe CS3 but only 2 steps in the NEW Adobe CS5. So for me, upgrading often is just not a must. Of course, this is just my own opinion

There is a reason that I have decided to have classes on the basic to intermediate use of Corel PaintShop Pro and Adobe CS PhotoShop- it can be quite frustrating trying to read tutorials, books, watch videos and just plain learning it on your own. I have spent hours trying to master the simplest of steps only to find that trial and error was my best bet! I would have given anything to have had the opportunity to learn in a more relaxed, informal environment that didnt cost me an arm and a leg.

I have been asked- “Missy, why are you giving away your tips?” “Why have these classes for those trying to build the same business??” My answer is always the same… I can teach you how to use your camera… I can teach you how to use the tools on your software.. BUT I can’t teach you style. Everyone is different, everyone has their own style. You either have it or YOU DON’T. I can’t teach you how to run your business, I can’t build that client/photographer relationship for you. But, am I afraid of other photogs taking business away from me? No, I am not. Whether you learn from me or not, if you have what it takes, then you will take off with or without me. I believe that every photographer has something different to offer their clients and there are some clients that will stick with you no matter what… then there are some that like to try different styles. This will happen and has happened more than once for different reasons.

Here are just a few examples of what you can learn from some of my classes. There are hundreds of lessons that can be taught, so more than one class is highly suggested. I also encourage suggestions, ideas and thoughts on what YOU are looking for.

Props: lots of vintage toys, trunks, suitcases, hanging net canopy, furniture, vintage clothing & hats, gloves, overalls for boys and girls, dolls, parasols, tea party setting and much more! How much: $75.00 bring your flash drive and get the images downloaded with copyright release within 2/3 weeks of session.

Details: 30 minute session with 1 clothes change. These are more geared towards children, siblings, individuals, cousins… most ages infant to 13… girls and boys & family welcomed. (you may wear what you want, you do not have to change or use any of clothes provided)

PLEASE NOTE- All sessions booked will have to be paid in advance. First come first serve. If you do not call to cancel/reschedule with 24 hour notice, you will lose your session fee. Otherwise, it will go toward rescheduled session. Payments can be paid by check, cash and/or pay pal. Slots will fill up fast and I highly suggest if you are interested, DO NOT WAIT. The bride that is….. getting ready for that big moment. The day is here and you know how stressful, anxious, excited and nervous these sweet little ladies can be! They have had months of planning, preparing, shopping, dreaming……putting all of this together for what will be one one the biggest days of their life…. And YOU (the photographer) are responsible for capturing these moments step by step so that she will be able to go back and look over her memories…. the memories that you have so professionally, so thoughtfully and artistically preserved for her. She may remember all the phone calls she made to get the flowers ordered just right…. but she may not have even had time to see how beautiful they turned out.

Spending most of the morning getting her makeup perfect and hair just right…. because of you, she can go back and see all the painstakingly steps it took to get her “ready”. We all know what those “awkward looks” of getting hair and make-up done, so be careful to get the best shot/angle that you can… unposed & natural. Sometimes even just giving a heads up that you are going to snap a few will give her the chance to eliminate an “open mouth” look

Ok, so she spent hours looking, shopping, trying on and finally finding the PERFECT dress… YES, the dress! The one that has probably only been seen during fittings and hanging in that bag that it came in. Photographers- GET IT OUT and while she is finishing up hair & makeup- before too many people get there… Get some awesome shots of it hanging in some really cool spots, get the details of it. Be careful and be sure to have an assistant with you to help from getting it dirty, wrinkled or even worse, ruined! Dont worry, you are a professional and should not be faint of heart. Live on the edge and get those awesome memories for her. Afterall, she trusted (and paid dearly) YOU to do this

Geeze its getting really hot in here…. got the fans blowing right on the bride, the ac is down to 65 and she is still trying to keep from sweating! The bridal room is full of all those anxious to see her… in and out of the room. Sometimes there is barely any room left for anyone else. Its time to clear out all the stragglers and have mama and/or the bridal party help with that fun task of getting her in the dress….. all those zippers, buttons, laces on the corset.. WHEW!! Honestly, I (as the photographer) have more than once been in on that task! No, I am not complaining… I am a helper.. in many ways. A take over and jump in there when I see the need kind of person. I dont question it… I just do it. Anything to help make things go smoother on this wonderful day. No, the groom may not ever even care to see these details, but the bride and her mama…… what a special moment……………………..

Last thing ares the garters… ahhhh, not to mention a chance to just sit for a minute after all the pulling, tugging, squeezing into that custom fitted dress!

Well, there you have it….. only a mere drop in the bucket for a tidbit on wedding photography. Any questions for those of you thinking of trying your hand on a wedding request? Maybe you have already tried once or twice and still not so sure about what to do, how to do it…. what if’s? calling myself out

I am really an avid blogger…. at least I used to be. Those that know me well and keep up with me on FaceBook, know that I have not been slacking in my work. Seems odd that I had more time for the little things in life when I was still working full time at Chase. Gosh I do not miss that at all! I love reading blogs, keeping up with those that are interesting, fun, not just pictures and not those with just writing. I love visuals. With all this being said, I am calling myself out…. I want to be a better avid blogger!

Step 1- think about what subjects I am more passionate about blogging.

Step 2- use my blogs for that passion and not duplicating “posting of sessions” I post my session sneak peeks on FaceBook already.

Step 3- get feedback, ask for suggestions and see where that takes me.

Ok, so this should be really simple. I will blog tips, examples, ideas, suggestions, new ways of doing things, comparisons….. all related to photography, sessions, events, dealing with clients, products, quality etc. I am thinking maybe a little q & a tid bits, questions from you and my answers to them. ~Photography Classes~

Do you have a camera with Auto & Manual Settings? Do you only use Auto? Are your snapshots of the kids coming out blurry or grainy looking? You have an awesome camera and want to learn how to use it and make better pics of the kids???? Bring a notebook, your camera, memory card, list of questions,  a drink and get ready to “Learn to shoot your kids” (with your camera of course!)

Beginner class is $75.00 for about 2 hours of “hands on” group session at my studio in West Monroe. Anyone can come that are just moms that want to learn to take better pictures or those who dabble on the side with photography. First timers are $75.00 and those that have been before can join for $25.00. If you have been once and want to join a second class, bring some printed pics since your last class and we can review and critique them…. its very helpful!

Busy, yes… it is my middle name. I have to say that life has been absolutely grand since quitting Chase and photographing full time. I really dont have a clue how I did it for as long as I did. Busier than I have ever been…. non-stop and loving it! Funny how it seems like I had more time to blog back in the day and barely keep up with it any more. I LOVE blogging….but at least I have been keeping facebook up to date. So much has happened, so much is happening and so much more to happen! Spring has sprung, mini sessions, bunnies, vacations & more. Weddings will start up very soon, baseball has started, school will be out before we know it.. whew how time flies!

Kimberly Hearne Photography has moved in to the studio with me, bringing tons of neat props, accessories and ideas! While her style is a lot like mine, she has her own special touch that is absolutley amazing….. vibrant colors, vintage softness and awesome eye! We do run separate business, but work together as well. She is expecting a little one this fall, so things will slow down for her later in the summer. We plan to do a lot more events together as we have found 2 heads are better than one! Oh, and I cant forget Erika Huber….she started out as one of my earlier clients… since then, she, her husband Henry & sweet little Alyssa has become a part of my wild adventures. You have probably seen her helping at a mini session, my studio or some other location that we have ventured off to! She also had a hand in making my sweet little camera critters

Where: Outdoors (weather permitting) Start area.

Theme: Shabby Blossoms

Props: lots of vintage toys, trunks, suitcases, hanging net canopy, furniture, vintage clothing & hats, gloves, overalls for boys and girls, dolls, parasols, tea party setting and much more!

How much: $75.00 bring your flash drive and get the images downloaded with copyright release within 2 weeks of session.

Details: 30 minute session with 2 clothes changes. These are more geared towards children, siblings, individuals, cousins… most ages infant to 13… girls and boys welcomed. (you may wear what you want, you do not have to change or use any of clothes provided)

PLEASE NOTE- All sessions booked will have to be paid in advance. First come first serve. If you do not call to cancel/reschedule with 24 hour notice, you will lose your session fee. Wowsers has it been crazy around here?? Things lately have been just wild, but hey….I am still here and thats the important thing! The boys and I have been on vacation, trying to stay cool, keeping busy, and anxiously waiting for hubby to get home for good from down south. Seems when he is out of town, things here fall apart and it takes all I have to hold it all together. Life of a working military wife…… tiresome!

I have been busy as a bee with birthday parties, hosting showers at the studio, gearing up for all these weddings, engagements, bridals, tea parties…..Christmas holiday preparations……You name it! Of the new to be wed’s property…… Meet Cody and Rebekah… I just LOVE the way she spells her name… They will be getting married late October and making their home in Oak Grove. What beautiful property they have and we got some awesome photos of them both! They are a really down to earth fun couple and I love that. She is gorgeous and I know she will make a even more gorgeous bride! Enjoy a few of their engagement photos…

Frank and Kelly…. Ready to update their business photos, signs & advertisement… Kelly contacted me to get some professional shots. This awesome couple is a husband wife realtor team with Century 21 Shackelford French. She is ALL about business and her schedule pretty much shows how successful they are. On a more personal note, they are a really laid back down to earth couple that parent 3 kids and know what family and having fun in life is all about. Kelly is a typical girly girl with a HUGE love for shoes, shopping and being pampered. Frank, well he is just Frank and loves his Kelly! ~Time for Tea~

Little Miss Ava was my very first Tea Party at the studio and it was just awesome! Quaint and dainty 7 little girly girls attended the birthday party… They all came straight in to the “dressing room” chose their dress, gloves, boa, hats & accessories and made their grand entrance into the dining room. Buffie had the tea table all set and ready for their company. Place cards with each of their names, doilies, china tea cups and saucers, linen napkins, flowers and sweet music! They learned about ettiquette, small talk, manners & sipped on tea and pink lemonade. Little giggles, smiles and chit chat filled the air. They enjoyed the tissue flower craft and a few rounds of musical chairs. Thanks Ava, for choosing TwoPeazTeaParty for your special day!

This is what Jon asked Randa as we started this engagement session… She was like “what?” He says… yeah, I thought maybe you needed a map because it looked like you may have gotten lost in my eyes… LOL He was just wayyyy too funny! They are a sweet couple and perfect for one another. We started off at Kiroli Park then headed to Antique Alley and finished up on the bayou. We had alot of fun, Randa’s mom even tagged along with us and had a few laughs! The wedding is coming up very soon and I know its going to be beautiful.

Once in a while I blog out of order…. ok, so most of the time I do. Either way, I tend to lose track of what I have posted and try to back track. This session was done the week before Father’s Day for a friend of mine that is no stranger to my camera. Lacey met me in Start with her boyfriends kiddos as a surprise for Father’s Day. I had met with Mr. & Mrs Bennett from Start just the week before to ask if I could shoot this session at their house. You see, everywhere I go I am constantly looking for new places to shoot, different scenery, variety…. Making a couple pass by’s from Highway 15 to Start, I had my eye set on a beautiful pecan orchid with an old barn, old work trucks, tractors, etc. When Lacey contacted me about the kids and she wanted something country… I knew I needed to stop by the Bennett’s and ask them if I could use their property. She was a little hesitant at first, somewhat puzzled that I would actually want to use her ugly yard for taking pictures. I laughed and told her that it would be perfect and that if she would let me, I would show her the pictures after I was done. She gave me permission and this is what I got… hope you enjoy! I will be going back to the Bennett’s again!

You know I am a sucker for boys!! Gavin is no exception… he is the sweetest and looks just like his mama! Curls and all…. beautiful eyes and sweet smile! Gavin celebrated his 1st birthday Mickey style at Kiroli Park with lots of friends and family. It was hot, but fun was had by all.

The hardest thing about taking bridals for my clients is having to wait until the wedding is over to post their beautiful photos! Lauren made a stunning bride in her 2 piece dress adorned with lots of detailed beading. We got thru the heat and captured some gorgeous shots of her at Beidenharn, the railroad bridge in West Monroe and a few in my studio.

Ok.. so when its slow, its slow…. but when its BOOMING, it is BOOOOOMING! And I am loving it… just wish that I had more time to do what I love most. I could shoot and edit 24/7 and I dont think I would ever get tired.  I enjoy everything about it…. the best part are the reactions that I get when someone sees their pics for the first time. People always ask me what looks best in pictures… what should they wear? How do I coordinate family photo clothing? Should we all match? What about all white shirts and khaki’s?  My rule of thumb is wear what you feel most comfortable in, don’t wear something that is NOT you. Stay away from BUSY prints and light colors. If you want to do the whole white shirts and khaki pants, I say go for it. Most people think thats the way to go, but I say go for COLOR! Be different, be bold… be YOU! Choose 3 colors and all coordinate together without being dressed just alike. Example: brown, creme, red—– white, black, green—-black, gray, pink—- you get the idea! Ok.. so I have tons of thoughts running thru my head so I am just going to lay it all out and hope it falls in place!

I am not trying to win a popularity contest….My aim is NOT to please everyone in life by doing what they expect but to please others by doing what I love. I am NOT a follower….. I must say that this is most def the BUSIEST time of year for me…… I ♥ it! Trying hard to keep up and stay on top of things, but its hard with life still moving on all around me. I can do it, I can I can! This season is going to fly by and I cant urge you enough to get a session scheduled before you miss out. Here is Little Miss Alaina…. I work close with her grandmother and hear about her ALL the time!! I finally got to meet the little diva in my studio and boy is she something else! Bless her heart… took her some bribing, fussing, napping, and more bribing to finally get her to loosen up and do her thing!! Man, did she!! So much fun dressing her up and down and posing and snapping…. Looking forward next time with the boys and the whole family…

Really it is… and I am going to break it down for you. You book your session with me, have your photos taken and head home. Usually I will let you know that it may be a few days before they are ready… lately I have been telling you to give me about a week. The busier I get, it may start turning into closer to 2 weeks. But I am really just as anxious as you are to get them done, so I try hard to not keep us waiting too long!

1-     I go thru the images on my camera and delete the obvious blurries, exact duplicate shots, etc.

2-     Next, I save them from my memory card to my external hardrive and put them in a folder that I will name after you.

3-     Once they are all saved, I go thru the folder and rotate all of the sideways images.

4-     I will then click on the first image and open it with image viewer so I can get a better/bigger look at them EACH.

5-     I go thru another round of deletes…. Deleting ones that I may have missed the first go around.

6-     Depending on how many images were taken in different settings/outfit changes etc.. I may split the images up in more folders within the main folder. This just makes it easier for me to go thru and edit & narrowing down the real keepers!

7-     Keep in mind that while doing each of these steps I have 3 dogs, a cat, 2 school age boys and a husband that need to be fed, bathed, clothes washed, homework done, attention from mama etc….. you get the picture.

8-     When I am done with all the rotating, deleting, organizing…. I start editing.

9-     Editing each one by adjusting the color balance, lighting, smoothing areas, removing blemishes, scratches, unwanted fly away hair… etc.

10- Once all of the editing is done, I open up another program and play around with different effects, enhancements etc. I do not have the time to do something to every single picture that I take, so usually I just play with my favorites and/or the images that look best enhanced.

11- Of course, I do my best to stop somewhere in the middle of all the above steps to pick a few to post on FaceBook for your sneak peek!

12- I also begin posting them online in your album for proofing and continue posting there until they are done.

Whew! It is really a lot of work… but I love it and could honestly do it 24/7. Ok, so maybe this was a boring post, but just wanted to share some inside info with you! Go ahead and post a comment or 3… I ♥ comments!!!

WOW!! Fall already??? Sure doesnt feel like it… the heat still lingers! Although I must say that it is starting to look like Fall. While out shooting family sessions this past weekend, there were signs of leaves changing, leaves on the ground, fall decor in every store. My most favorite time of year, indeed. Or at least I am trying to! My turn around time with sneak peeks, posted albums and cd’s are turning in to 2 weeks, give or take. I am used to being able to turn sessions around in a week or less. I do appreciate your patience with me during this extreme busy time of the year! In an effort to pace myself, I am cutting down on booking sessions on Sundays for now.

On a different note, I am pretty sure if you have been following my work over the past couple of years… all of probably 2 of my greatest fans! Just kidding! (hoping I have more than that—hee hee) I know you have seen an ongoing evolution. I look back at work I did in the beginning and wonder what in the world was I thinking? Have I told you lately how much I am enjoying the Fall weather??? Although, I do hear temps in the 90′s are coming … it still beats the over 100 temps we were having this summer! I have been super busy with family sessions, cake smash sessions, babies and more… I ♥ it! Meeting new people, making awesome memories for them to keep forever, trying new things, buying new props (I’m so addicted!) Never thought I would actually say this, but I am almost to the point of being BOOKED up to the max for those that want family fall photos for Christmas/Cards. In an effort to keep myself from running ragged and turnaround time down to 2 weeks or less… I am skimming availability down to 2 sessions each day during the week and still no Sunday sessions. For those that know me… know that I hate having anyone wait more than a week for their finished sessions. This season has been crazy busy and for that I am more than thankful! I have had some repeat clients and new ones that have been a joy to photograph. 

On a personal note, I have started Christmas shopping… ok, so maybe that seems late for some of you out there, but for me, it’s a huge accomplishment. Last year, I was so busy with fall sessions and too concerned with getting everyone squeezed in and Christmas cards ordered.. that I had my sister and mom do most of my Christmas shopping for me over the phone! Yeah, not happening this year. I am usually right on top of it. The last couple of weeks have me thinking over the past year and the upcoming New Year. I know it may seem a little early to be thinking of 2011, but as I have said before…. It will be here before we know it! So much has happened in 2010.. some good, some bad and some just well, whatever. New friends, old friends, changes at work, bad choices, smart decisions, mistakes, surprises and everything in between. With all of that being said… I guess my point is that I am excited about 2011… excited to learn new things, put some new things learned to good use, clean out some old clutter and welcome some new clutter.

Ok.. I am not going to lie to you….. Busy is not even the word for what I have been lately!! My schedule is being cut down, ONLY because I want to be able to keep up with the work load. Working 2 full time jobs is not as easy as one would think. I have hired some help around the house once a week to ensure at least the floors and laundry are done. Alicia is AWESOME!

 I have also come up with another great product/design that I will be offering to you just in time for the holidays! Most of you may have already seen this and just might already have one— but for those that haven’t, it’s really cool & I am loving it! I call it Letter/Word Art Photography. I have posted a few samples on FaceBook and received some positive feedback. One thing that makes mine so unique is that the “letters” are photos that I have personally taken from right here at home in Northeast Louisiana. I have also been thinking of trying to take a letter from your own personal session to use if you want one… this would just make it even more personal to YOU! A 5×15 print customized with what ever you want and colors. I will be taking orders for these via email & payment via PayPal. These are also made to look matted so you don’t have to worry about all of that … just order your print and put it in your frame!

If you are keeping up with me, then you shoud know that I have a new FASTER computer!! My HP finally kicked the bucket after 3 years of intense work….. I have a new HP and love it so far! Editing and such is so much faster and for that I am pleased. For those of you that may not know, I have a full time job and use nearly every spare moment I have for my passion of photography. I usually work double overtime and have had to cut back on the number of sessions I schedule and turnaround time has been up to 2 and sometimes 3 weeks. Thanks so much for being so patient and supportive.

I am not quite booked up yet, but pretty dang close to it. yep, that is what my weekend was like. I know most people feel that the weekends go by so fast and with so much going on, Monday just rolls around way too soon. For some reason, this past weekend was much like a blur for me. Seems like I didnt have a Saturday at all and Sunday wasnt much better. With that being said, I did manage to get LOTS done. 3 sessions and a wedding on Saturday.  Sunday brought on 2 family sessions and edited 5 albums & downloaded- 6 more albums to edit and my Saturday wedding. I am soooo super excited!! The 3rd annual Star 101.9 Stuff A Bus Toy Drive will be starting up in just a couple weeks and this year is going to be even bigger & better than last year! I am proud to be a part of it again & look forward to Snapshots with Santa. It’s a great feeling to see the community come together and help make hundreds of children enjoy the Christmas season just a little more than they would have. It was very cold last year and the most awesome part was the snow!! Crazy that on the very same day Santa made a stop in for pictures… it began snowing! Something we certainly only see once in a blue moon…. it was amazing. The goal set for the number of toys collected was more than exceeded and this year’s goal is sure to be exceeded once again!  A New Year is just around the corner and there are many changes to come for TwoPeazPhotography.  Well, it’s come to this…. Since this is no longer a hobby of mine… but now the second income in my household, I have decided that there are some things that have to be changed, implemented.. etc. This is in no way targeted at anyone in particular, but applies to EVERYONE in general. My main focus is to keep my services fun, reasonably priced and available to all. I have started this journey with some amazing clients and have picked up even more along my way. I know that you all are the most important part of my business to continue to be a huge success for yesterday, today and tomorrow. I know all too well how crazy and unpredictable life can be….. I will continue to be as accommodating and understanding as I can be. I ask the same from you.

Each year brings on experiences, situations, trial and error, successes and just plain failed plans. I continue to learn, ways to make things better, ways to ensure a fun experience for you, learning how to make things just simply more convenient. I welcome ideas, suggestions, comments, advice… ANYTHING that will help out not only for you, but for me.

Session Fees:

No session, wedding, event etc is booked until fee and/or deposit is paid in full. Payments can be made via PayPal, cash and/or check. NO EXCEPTIONS

Session cancellations/reschedule:

If you are not able to make your appointment the first time and you have contacted me before 9:00PM the day before to advise of legitimate reason- Your fee will be applied to a reschedule of your session. NO REFUNDS

If you are not able to make your appointment the second time and you have contacted me before 9:00PM the day before to advise of a legitimate reason- Your fee will be applied to a reschedule of your session. NO REFUNDS

If you are not able to make your 3^rd rescheduled session and/or fail to contact me before 9:00PM the day before your session … YOU LOSE YOUR FEE and MUST pay in full to schedule another session.

Digital Images:

I do NOT offer cd’s any longer. I do NOT burn them, copy them, make them and/or order them. I do NOT provide CD’s at all.

$25.00 additional– Images are only available on flash drive that you MUST provide to me upon arrival at your session. Flash drive must have at least 1gb available space unless you have a special event that requires 2gb or more. (please ask me if you are not sure what a flash drive is or where to get one) A copyright release will be given at time of session ONLY if fee is paid and flash drive is provided to me. (special event sessions may not require additional digital image fees)

$15.00 additional– I can also upload your images to Wal-Mart.com and email the album to your email that you provide to me. (you can order cd’s, prints, products, share your album) **images provided this way are only printable in good quality up to 11×14** A copyright release will be given at time of session ONLY if fee is paid and email address is provided to me.

Online albums:

Online albums will remain online for one month from day online album is created (date of expiration is given). If you order within this time frame, you will get an 8×10 FREE!!

Flash Drive Space:

Special Events 2gb (birthday party, large family sessions, etc)

Cake Smash 1gb

Weddings 8gb comes with images on flash drive at no additional cost—

(YOU provide flash drive)

Turnaround time:

Depending on my schedule and holiday season, your complete session can take up to 3 weeks to be ready for pick up. Weddings can take up to 6 weeks to be completed. I do provide a sneak peek on FaceBook and tag you within a week or less. I will post edited images to your album online for proofing as I finish them. Once I am completed, you will see “done” on your album title. At that point, I will have your images loaded to your flash drive or uploaded to Wal-Mart online AND your images are ready to order from if you choose. You will need to make arrangements to pick up your digital images and/or I can mail them to you. Once your album is done and available on my website for 1 month… They will be deleted and can only be reposted at your request. During high volume seasons & multiple weddings- I may NOT have the room to leave your albums up longer than 2 weeks.

Return Clients

This applies to ALL return clients of mine that have used my services for more than 3 separate & complete sessions and/or events. Additional upload fees do NOT apply to your session.

At the end of the tunnel that is!!

BRRRR!! It is fffrrreeeezzing! Seems like it was just yesterday that it was way too hot to even go outdoors. One extreme to another.. got to love Louisiana weather! Business is booming and I am thankful for that… All things are coming together for my leap at the end of the year and boy is that time coming fast! This past weekend was the end of my busy season. I am still finishing up sessions, orders and Christmas Cards… but for the most part, I am done for 2010. I encourage those of you that may have missed out on Holiday sessions, to book after everything settles down… January & February! Dont forget that I do have a studio for those that have wee little ones and/or dont want to get out in the cold. Lots of mixed emotions this time of year…. this year especially. I am a big believer that EVERYTHING good and/or bad happens for a reason. Sometimes it makes sense and sometimes it just doesnt. I welcome change… I welcome new things… I welcome craziness & of course I welcome happiness. While my hustle and bustle of the business holiday hoopla is pretty much over with… I am still finishing up editing sessions, last minute orders, work at Chase and of course my own family. I continue to look forward to this time next year….. ahhhhhhh how much better my holiday seaon will be!

I have many ideas to try out this new year, many creative new things that have been on the back burner, lots of exciting things coming for sure! Santa Sessions in my studio were a huge success this year and will be bigger and better next year. I had many good comments from loving parents on how it was decorated and my Santa & Elf. I always encourage positive feedback as well as suggestions to make things better for next time.

 I do wish you all a very blessed holiday season… I do wish everyone a wonderful New Year to come….. happiness, joy, loving family and even more awesome friends. Dont worry about the little things that you cant change…agree to disagree… love unconditionally… Simply my wish to each of you is to enjoy life to its fullest!

FACEBOOK contest!!

Ok, so this is a project that I am going to try for 2011. I will think about how I want to do this, but basically its a photo once a day everyday for 365 days. I have looked around a little bit and found different ideas on how others have done this…. so when I figure out how I want to do it, I will let ya know! I think it should be fun and entertaining, yet something that will help me spruce up my skills. If you have any ideas, thoughts or suggestions… let me hear what you have! Have you ever tried this project? Know anyone that has? Come on, give me a little feedback here.

Day 1 of Project Photo 365- As I posted earlier, I am challenging myself to a photo a day for 365 days starting TODAY! What better luck than to have had a last minute call for a wedding on New Year’s Day??? Thanks to Wende & Derrick and her 3 beautiful girls… I am posting my very first photo taken today of the wedding cake. Still not real sure how I will do this, but as I work thru each day, I suppose it will come to me. This post contains 2 photos — 1 SOOC (straight out of camera) and the same photo “edited”

No matter what, this project will NOT fall behind… No matter how busy I am!!! This is not what I had intended on posting for my Day 2 photo 365, but I did take these today and in fact were the only ones I made time to take. So cheezy or not, this is my post!

I am so super excited to share with you all, my most formal personal invite to a real Mardi Gras Ball down south. Wayyyy down south in Morgan City- this in fact was the city where I was born and not sure I have ever been back since. I am attending with a couple awesome friends of mine and I can assure you that there will be TONS of fun and nearly non-stop laughing.

This is a floor length ONLY attire with the Krewe of Galatea Royal Court, dance and Champagne Hour… I have my dress, purchased it soon after I found that I was on the invite list. Its a long flowy black number with a tie around the neck halter top and silver bling right below the boobs. I plan to wear long black gloves with more bling around my wrist. Of course more pics of that to come!

My 2011 has started out with a BANG, busy on the 1st day of the year and hasnt slowed down yet… For that I am thankful! Here is my 1st $100.00 of the New Year!

~I’m here!~

Yes, I am here and busy is what I have been. That is nothing new to those that know me. The holidays have come and gone. Out with the old… in with the new! Lots of things going on in my world and I am anxious to share most of it with you all. I recently purchased lots of new props, backdrops, accessories & furniture from a local photographer that started doing other things with her time and needed to clean out her shed. I found out very soon that my current studio was not nearly big enough for all my new stuff. Luckily I was able to expand into suite #3 and stay where I am. I am sooooo super excited to have wide open shooting space!! Even extra room to start up my TeaParties again.

 I have to say that running a full time studio is ….. well, FULL TIME! I have already booked 4 big weddings for 2011, lots of new clients already and the year has just started! I am sooo very blessed to have wonderful support. My project 365, I have decided will ONLY be posted on my FaceBook Fan Page. Another exciting bit of news that I am busting at the seams to share are Themed Mini-Sessions… I am making big plans to have some really awesome sets with really cute themes for family and kids coming this Spring. More information will come next month!

I think that is it for now…. I am off for more editing and organizing my new space! But I will leave you with some eye candy for 2011

~iTcHing 4 sPrinG~

Every year its the same thing…. Winter Blahs… ;-(  I know, I know… there is a reason for every season and Spring will be here soon enough! Its just that I have tons of new stuff and anxious to use it. Ideas are running thru my head like crazy & sometimes I just need to find someone to share them with …someone with the same passion for it that I do.

Now that I have more room at my studio, I am bringing TeaParties back! Something different for little girls that love to dress up and play! I have tons of dresses, hats, gloves, jewelry that they can choose from. Real china tea sets with linen napkins & tablecloths. Photos taken thru out the party with goups and individuals as well. If you are looking for something different to do this year, let me know! All you have to do is show up with guests and a cake… leave the rest to us.

Don’t let the cold weather keep you from getting those kids pictures done or family photos that you didnt get around to for the holidays. I have plenty of room in my studio with many different backdrops, props, furniture and ideas!

Yeah, I know…. Where the heck have I been??? Let me just say that busy is what I have been. Honestly, I have no clue how in the world I ever worked full-time AND kept TwoPeaz running full force. I do, however, continue to update FaceBook, so I get credit for that at least, huh?

Now down to business…. With all this crazy winter weather going on all over the country, I am SOOO ready for better, warmer, prettier Spring weather. The groundhog did NOT see his shadow….soooooo we all know what that means?? Early Spring!!

Spring Mini Sessions is something that I have really been looking forward to. I have so many ideas running thru my head that its like a flipping circus in there! I have tons of new stuff that I am anxious to use and try out. I would like to have at least 2 themed mini session days.. One indoors and one outdoors. I will also have mini sessions available for regular family photos (without themes)

First Themed Spring Mini Session

When: Saturday Feb 26th 

Where: Outdoors (weather permitting) location will be announced, but most likely in the Start area.

Theme: Shabby Blossoms

Props: lots of vintage toys, trunks, suitcases, hanging net canopy, furniture, vintage clothing & hats, gloves, overalls for boys and girls, dolls, parasols, tea party setting and much more!

How much: $75.00 bring your flash drive and get the images downloaded with copyright release.

Details: 30 minute session with 2 clothes changes. These are more geared towards children, siblings, individuals, cousins… most ages infant to 13… girls and boys welcomed.

PLEASE NOTE- All sessions booked will have to be paid in advance. First come first served. If you do not call to cancel/reschedule with 24 hour notice, you will lose your session fee. Otherwise, it will go toward rescheduled session. Payments can be paid by check, cash and/or pay pal. Slots will fill up fast and I highly suggest if you are interested, DO NOT WAIT. Mini Sessions only come in Spring and Fall.
